What does your agency do?
First, we get to know you and your family’s needs. We’ll talk about your weekly schedule, job responsibilities, childcare philosophies, and the personal and professional qualities you’d like to see in your ideal nanny. Based on your specific criteria, we personally match you with the nannies most suitable for your position. We coordinate and schedule interviews with your favorite candidates in the comfort of your home. After your hire, we are always here to answer questions or to just stay in touch.
What are your fees?
The one-time placement fee is paid in two installments:
1) A non-refundable Search Fee of $100 initiates the search.
2) A Placement Fee is due within 5 days after offering your chosen caregiver a position.
What are the benefits of having a Nanny?
Children thrive when they are well cared for by a nurturing and attentive child care provider in the comfort of their own home. The one on one care and interaction that a nanny provides gives children a deep sense of self worth and security. Since nannies typically stay with a family for a minimum of one year, the consistent relationship that children have with their caregiver allows them to develop a meaningful bond with a caring adult that has the child’s best interests at heart.
For parents who need flexible child care arrangements, or wish to direct their child’s daily activities and care structure, nanny care can be the perfect solution. Since the parents are the nanny’s employer, they define the nanny’s role and responsibilities and manage how the nanny spends her time with their children.
And because the children are cared for in their own home, parents don’t have to rush to get everyone out of the house in the morning and off to day care (which often leads to a chaotic and stressful start to the day for everyone), providing the ultimate in child care convenience.
Children cared for by nannies are also less likely to become sick because they aren’t exposed to the many germs that large groups of children bring into a traditional day care environment. And unlike child care centers, nannies are able to provide child care for mildly ill children, therefore parents don’t have to rearrange their work schedules or find last minute backup care should their child become sick.
For parents with more than one child, nanny care can be cost effective. Unlike traditional day care, parents don’t have to pay an additional fee for each child. Nannies are paid one rate to care for all the children in their employer’s family.
How long does it take to find a Nanny?
Although sometimes the process can be expedited, we recommend you allow 4 to 6 weeks in order to ensure a thorough process. This way you will be able to interview several candidates and feel secure and confident in the choice you make for your family.
What are the responsibilities of a Nanny?
A nanny’s responsibilities will vary based on each family’s own individual needs, but a nanny’s number one concern is the health, safety and well being of the children they are caring for. They initiate age-appropriate activities and play dates, prepare nutritious snacks and meals, and perform some light housekeeping duties.
What are your screening procedures?
Your family’s peace of mind and child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us. Once you are ready to offer a position to a nanny, all information is forwarded to a professional background investigation service retained by Nashville Nanny Agency to prepare a detailed background report. We interview the qualified applicants, contact all references, and throughly screen their social media accounts.
How much should I pay my Nanny and what benefits should I offer?
The average range for a professional, live-out nanny in Nashville is $15-20/hr. (gross). When using our agency, we will work closely with you to develop a custom detailed job description and competitive compensation package for your position.
